We're a church.
Not a club. Not a coffee house. Not a theater. Not anything else.
Our lead Pastor
Pastor Joel Morris has been the pastor of Outback Assembly of God, formerly Lakeview Assembly of God, since May, 2013. He and his wife, Kimberlee, graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Before coming to Southern Oregon, Joel served as a music pastor in Minnesota and a youth pastor in the state of Washington. He is an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God.
In something of a full circle story -- with Kimberlee having been born in Lakeview, moving away, then returning 30 years later to minister with her husband -- they and their two boys love it here!
Pastor Joel and his family believe God is on the move in the Oregon Outback, and it's the joy of their life to be a part of it! They are driven by the mission of the Ephesians 4 charge to "equip the saints" by both teaching the Word and leading through Spirit-empowered lives. Contact Pastor Joel.
Kimberlee is a licensed minister of the Assemblies of God. She is passionate about discipleship and evangelism. In addition to homeschooling their two boys and serving most days at the church, she is the author of CultivatingGiants.com.
Our associate pastor
Pastor Steve Prince is the Associate Pastor of Outback Assembly and the Campus Pastor in Bly. He and his wife, Audra, are an integral part of the team that makes ministry at Outback Assembly happen.
Married since 1990, having three beautiful kids (and three more kids in-law), and having a strong background in serving the church as lay leaders, Pastor Steve and Audra came on board at Outback Assembly in September, 2018.
Pastor Steve is a certified minister of the Assemblies of God. Together, Pastor Steve & Audra have a passion for reaching the communities of the Oregon Outback, for people, and for teaching God’s Word. Contact Pastor Steve.
As far as we're concerned, it all boils down to:
Connecting with others
Serving in ministry
Everything we do fits into one (or more) of those categories, but nothing we do fits into none of those categories. We believe in doing things with intentionality. We're on a mission to introduce people to our life-changing God, and to disciple people that they might go and make more disciples.
So, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we work for the Lord. We are a part of His Church -- His Body -- and it's all for His glory!
God is on the move at Outback Assembly of God, formerly Lakeview Assembly of God! We're excited about what He's doing, but don't take our word for it. Come see for yourself!
